1. Installation of KM2

We describe here how to install and upgrade KM2

1.1. Installing KM2

1.1.1. First installation

Installing KM2 is not automated, but easy :

• First download KM2
• open the zip file (= A)
• Create and open the target directory C:\Program Files (x86)\KM2 (= B)
• Copy files from A to B

Read the README.TXT file.
Double click on KM2.bat for installation and configuration.
KM2 will ask you some questions.

• Then you will be asked fo the configuration of KM2 (see below).
• Warning : you need a LICENCE KEY to unleash the full power of KM2. See LICENCE KEY

1.1.2. Upgrade of the KM2

Upgrading KM2 is not automated, but easy :

• 
• First download KM2 open the zip file (= A)
• Open the target directory = (B)
• Delete files in B, copy files from A to B (you must first stop KM2 and KM2_SAVE).
• Relaunch KM2 and KM2_SAVE from your Desktop or whatever shortcut
  
  your computer may ask you for approval of a new program.

1.2. LICENCE KEY

Your key is visible through the menus :
HELP >> CONFIG >> Show Key for KM2
The key will appear as a string of numbers in the NOTEPAD :

1.2.1. Validity of key

Your key contains 3 parameters

• Version number
• Date of expiration
• Allowed tools

KM2 will not provide all expected services if :

• The version number is exceeded
• The date of expiration is too old
• You ask for a service that is not authorized.

1.2.2. Asking for a key

If you don't have registered yet :

• copy the indications in the notepad
  
• Send the indications to your contact at KM2.

1.2.3. Installing a new key

The steps are :

• Choose HELP >> CONFIG >> Config KEY for KM2
  
• Set you new key in the notepad
  
• KM2 will ask for confirmation of your input and check your key.

1.3. Checking your version

Use the MENU HELP >> ABOUT KM2 If you have some issues with KM2 (nobody's perfect) : use the MENU HELP >> CONFIG >> DIAGNOSTIC Send a copy of the notepad to your KM2 contact.
